Welcome everyone to the After Effects Seattle User Group Website! I am your host, moderator, and group leader, Topher Welsh. I run VisualFXtuts.com and have my own site at Toe-Fur.com. Feel free to check out my stuff. I am by no means an After Effects expert, but I do work as a Motion Graphics/Visual Effects artist and Editor full time. I created this site, to HOPEFULLY have it be the official website for the Seattle Adobe After Effects user group. The application is still pending, but seeing as there is no AE group anyways in our region, it should get picked up. The purpose is for networking, learning, meeting others around the Seattle area, and possibly getting yourself more work. If any of you are like me, you hound craigslist.com constantly, and nip at anything you can get your hands on. I am hoping that this group will bring along job opporunities, knowledge and some awesome contacts for us all. We will hopefully be having meetings at Adobe Headquarters in Fremont, but if that doesn't work out for some reason, we can figure things out along the way. I urge you to create an account on the site so that you can get email updates as well as find out when we will be having meetings. That is about all for now.
